Simplify Alternatives (2026): Autofill Extensions Compared

In short

AutoApplyMax is the Simplify alternative that also submits for you on LinkedIn: it auto-applies to LinkedIn Easy Apply jobs on its free plan and, like Simplify Copilot, autofills Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Indeed and other sites where you click Submit.

If you only apply on company career sites, Simplify Copilot stays a strong free choice; Jobright's autofill extension is also free, JobWizard's free plan allows 30 autofills a week, and OwlApply's 10 a month. Simplify+ ($39.99/month) adds Autopilot, which submits up to 20 applications a week.

Most "autofill" extensions do the same core job: they read the application form and fill it from your saved profile, then you check it and click Submit. They differ on which sites they support, how many fills the free plan allows, whether AI writes answers to open questions, and whether anything is ever submitted for you.

The alternatives, one by one

AutoApplyMax

A Chrome extension that runs in your own signed-in browser. On LinkedIn it opens each Easy Apply job from your search, fills every step, attaches your resume and submits, pausing when LinkedIn rate-limits. On every other job site it fills the form from your profile and you review and click Submit. The dashboard tailors your resume and cover letter to each job description and logs every application.

Better pick if: you apply mostly through LinkedIn Easy Apply, want a free plan to start, and want a resume tailored to each job before you send it.

Simplify (Copilot)

Simplify Copilot autofills applications "on 100,000+ company career sites in one click", and its help center tells you to click the employer's final Submit button yourself. Simplify+ adds AI resume tailoring, cover letters and Autopilot, which fills and submits on supported postings using 20 credits a week, with no review step before submission. Full comparison.

Better pick if: you apply mostly on company career sites (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever) and want a free, widely used autofill extension.

Jobright

Jobright matches you to jobs and its Autofill extension fills applications "on thousands of ATS platforms with just 1-click"; you review and submit yourself. Its Agent auto-applies to jobs on a list you select, with access and limits that depend on your plan. It offers job-specific tailored resumes. Job-seeker prices are not published on its site. Full comparison.

Better pick if: you are in the US and want AI job matching plus a free autofill extension.

JobWizard

JobWizard autofills ATS forms (it names Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, Ashby, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters and Taleo) and you review and submit. Its free plan has weekly allowances, including 30 autofills, 30 cover letters and 30 resume retouches a week. Paid access is sold as 30-day passes that do not renew on their own.

Better pick if: you apply by hand on ATS portals and want a generous free autofill allowance or a pass without a subscription.

OwlApply

OwlApply is an autofill extension: its FAQ says "It fills the application; you submit it" and that it never submits for you. It lists Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo, SmartRecruiters, Ashby, LinkedIn and Indeed among supported sites. The free plan includes 10 autofills a month; Pro adds unlimited autofills, per-job resume tailoring and cover letters.

Better pick if: you apply one by one on ATS portals and want to review every form, with a cheap short trial of the paid plan.

FastApply

FastApply has two modes: "Apply for Me", an agent that applies for you on employer career pages, and "Browse & Apply", a Chrome extension that fills forms on 20+ job boards and ATSs (it names LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday, Greenhouse and Naukri) while you watch. Plans are sold in monthly credits (one credit per submitted application); AI resume tailoring and cover letters cost extra per month.

Better pick if: you want a server-side agent applying on employer career sites at high volume, and do not mind paying extra for tailoring.

When Simplify is still the better pick

If you apply mostly on company career sites in the US, Simplify Copilot is free, widely used and fills applications on what it calls 100,000+ company career sites. AutoApplyMax's advantage is LinkedIn Easy Apply auto-apply and a resume tailored to each job; if you never use LinkedIn Easy Apply, that advantage is smaller.

When AutoApplyMax is the better pick

You apply on LinkedIn Easy Apply and want those applications sent for you, and you also want autofill on the other sites in the same extension. AutoApplyMax also tailors your resume to each job description and logs every application in its tracker.

Switching from Simplify to AutoApplyMax

Sign up free and upload the resume you already use: it becomes your profile. Add the answers forms ask for (years of experience, salary, notice period, work authorization), install the Chrome extension and sign in with the same account.

On LinkedIn, run a search with the Easy Apply filter and click "Start auto-apply". On any other site, open the application form and click "Autofill this form". Turn off any other auto-apply extension first so two tools do not fill the same form.

How we checked

We read each tool's pricing and feature pages and its Chrome Web Store listing on November 4, 2026, and link every source in the table. AutoApplyMax facts come from our own pricing page and product. We are the makers of AutoApplyMax, so we say where another tool is the better pick and we do not rate or score competitors. Corrections: contact@autoapplymax.com. See our editorial process.

Frequently asked questions

Which autofill extension is best: Simplify Copilot or another one?

It depends where you apply. On company career sites, Simplify Copilot is free and fills most ATS forms; Jobright and JobWizard also have free autofill. If you also apply on LinkedIn Easy Apply, AutoApplyMax autofills the same kinds of sites and auto-applies on Easy Apply, on its free plan. Checked November 4, 2026.

Does Simplify auto-apply?

The free Copilot only autofills: Simplify's help center says you click the employer's final Submit button yourself. Simplify+ Autopilot fills and submits on supported postings, using 20 credits a week. Simplify+ costs $19.99/week, $39.99/month or $89.99 per 3 months.

Can I use Simplify and AutoApplyMax together?

Yes, but not on the same form at the same time. A common setup: AutoApplyMax for LinkedIn Easy Apply and tailored resumes, and one autofill extension of your choice on company sites. Turn the other one off while one fills a form.

What is the difference between auto-apply and autofill?

Autofill fills the form from your profile and you review it and click Submit. Auto-apply also submits the application for you. AutoApplyMax auto-applies on LinkedIn Easy Apply only; on Indeed, Glassdoor, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and company career sites it autofills and you click Submit.

Is it safe to use an auto-apply tool on LinkedIn?

There is always some risk: LinkedIn says it does not permit extensions that automate activity on its site. AutoApplyMax runs inside your own signed-in browser (it never asks for your password), pauses when LinkedIn shows a rate-limit message and stops when LinkedIn says the daily limit is reached. Use one auto-apply tool at a time. Details: is LinkedIn auto apply allowed?
