Camille Bouchard: Supply Chain Analyst
Camille's resume shows an analyst who already influences decisions: a dashboard adopted by purchasing and master data cleanup that saves planners time. Her 3PL co-op adds port and warehouse knowledge, and her capstone gives a small analytical project. Bilingual French and English is a strong selling point in Montreal, and the page uses scale numbers instead of claims.

How to write each section of a supply chain manager resume
Summary and headline
Start with your title and the part of the supply chain you run: planning, procurement, logistics, distribution or end to end. Add your industry, since manufacturing, retail, CPG, healthcare and e-commerce supply chains face different problems, and one or two signature results.
Directors should mention organization size and geographic scope, such as multiple plants, distribution centers or countries. Keep the summary under four lines so the first job is visible without scrolling.
Experience and results
For each role, set the scale first: SKUs, suppliers, spend, freight volume, sites or team size. Then describe what you changed and what improved, using measures such as inventory value, fill rate, on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, cost per unit and lead time.
Use real figures from your work and keep them believable; one or two numbers per role is enough. When you cannot share figures, describe the change in operational terms, such as weekly instead of monthly planning or fewer expedited shipments.
Systems and analytics
Name your ERP and planning tools exactly, such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Kinaxis, o9 or Blue Yonder, as well as WMS and TMS platforms. Add analytics tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau.
If you led an implementation, describe your role and what the business gained, such as one planning system for all sites or faster replenishment decisions.
Skills
Group skills by planning, procurement, logistics and leadership. Include process skills like S&OP or integrated business planning, inventory optimization, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and continuous improvement.
Cross-border knowledge is valuable in North America: customs brokers, Incoterms, USMCA or CUSMA rules of origin and documentation. List it if you handle imports or exports regularly. For manager roles, add leadership skills such as hiring, coaching planners and presenting to executives.
Education and certifications
List your degree in supply chain, business, engineering or a related field, plus an MBA if you have one. Certifications from ASCM such as CSCP, CPIM or CLTD are widely recognized, and ISM's CPSM fits procurement-heavy roles.
In Canada, the SCMP designation from Supply Chain Canada is known to many employers. Lean or Six Sigma belts are useful when roles involve continuous improvement in plants or warehouses.
Supply Chain Manager resume summary examples
Entry-level objective: Operations and logistics graduate seeking a supply chain analyst or junior planner role in distribution or manufacturing. Brings a 3PL co-op, SAP and Power BI skills, a warehouse slotting capstone and fluent French and English for supplier and carrier communication.
Names target roles and backs them with tools, a project and a language skill relevant to the market.
New-grad summary: Supply chain analyst planning replenishment for about 900 SKUs from 45 suppliers. Builds Power BI reports on supplier fill rates, cleans SAP master data and tracks inbound containers and appointments. Comfortable working in French and English across purchasing, warehouse and carrier teams.
Scale numbers and specific tools show a junior who can already carry part of the planning load.
Mid-level summary: Supply chain manager with seven years in consumer electronics and CPG. Leads planners and buyers, runs monthly S&OP, manages contract manufacturers in Mexico and Asia and has reduced excess inventory and freight cost through better planning and contract bids.
Covers team, process, supplier base and the type of results delivered in a few lines.
Senior summary: Supply chain director with fifteen years in industrial manufacturing and distribution. Leads planning, procurement, logistics and distribution across the US and Canada, has redesigned networks and implemented integrated business planning, and builds supplier risk programs.
Executive summaries should emphasize scope, strategic projects and risk management rather than daily tasks.
Supply Chain Manager resume bullet examples: weak vs strong
The strong versions use made-up figures for a fictional candidate. Replace them with your own real numbers, or describe the scope (team size, volume, frequency) if you have none.
Shows you built the process and who it brought together.
Gives the dollar effect and the method behind it.
Pairs cost savings with service, which avoids the suspicion of cutting corners.
Scale and a tool that explains error show planning maturity.
Spend size and sourcing actions show buying power and strategy.
Network work is strategic, and the bullet shows the analysis, decision and result.
Shows a lasting system rather than one-time firefighting.
A tool used by others shows the analysis created value.

US vs Canada: supply chain manager resumes and pay
United States
US supply chain roles often involve imports through major ports, customs work with brokers and US Customs and Border Protection, and trade programs such as C-TPAT for some importers. Mention tariff, USMCA or country-of-origin experience if relevant. Defense and government suppliers may need knowledge of federal procurement rules or ITAR. US resumes usually express measurements in pounds and miles. Do not include a photo, age or marital status.
| BLS occupation | 10th pct. | Median | 90th pct. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transportation, Storage, and Distribution Managers (SOC 11-3071) closest BLS category | $65,120 | $107,230 | $194,900 |
Annual wages, US national, BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics, May 2025.
Canada
Canadian roles often involve cross-border flows with the US, so customs work with the Canada Border Services Agency, CUSMA rules of origin and bilingual labelling requirements are worth naming. Many networks rely on the ports of Vancouver, Montreal and Halifax and on long rail and truck lanes. In Quebec, French is generally required for supervisory roles and supplier communication. Public sector procurement follows trade agreement and tendering rules. Use Canadian spelling such as centre, and metric units where your employer did.
| Job Bank occupation | Low | Median | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supply Chain Manager (NOC 10012) | $39.34/h | $56.11/h | $86.54/h |

FAQ
What results should a supply chain manager resume show?
Show measures your business tracked: inventory value or turns, fill rate, on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, freight cost per unit, lead times and supplier performance. Pair cost results with service results so savings do not look like they hurt customers. Use real numbers and keep them modest and explainable.
Should I list every ERP module I have used?
List the systems and modules you used meaningfully, such as SAP MM or PP, Oracle planning, or NetSuite, and mention any implementation role. Employers often filter for their own system, so exact names matter. Skip tools you only saw in training.
Are ASCM certifications worth it?
They are widely recognized and can help, especially for planners moving into management or candidates changing industries. CPIM suits planning roles, CSCP end-to-end roles and CLTD logistics roles. Experience and results still matter more for senior positions.
How do I move from analyst to manager?
Show ownership: processes you ran, decisions you influenced and people you trained or led informally. Highlight cross-functional work such as S&OP. Take on supplier or carrier negotiations if possible, and describe them on your resume with clear outcomes.
How long should a supply chain director resume be?
Two pages is normal at director level. Use the first page for your summary and most recent roles with strategic results, and the second for earlier roles, education and certifications. Keep early jobs to one or two lines each.
